Linville, North Carolina

Welcome to Linville

If you've heard of Western North Carolina, chances are, you've heard of Linville. Linville is located in Avery County, North Carolina, and has been pinned as "North Carolina's Tiny Town With Big Adventures." Linville is an unincorporated community just south of US 221 and NC 105, home to vast expanses of wilderness and rolling mountaintops. With a population just over 550, rural living doesn't get much better than this!

Linville is surrounded on all sides by mountains, the most notable of which is Grandfather Mountain. The Linville River runs through the town, and Linville Caverns is possibly the town's most well-known landmark. The town even features a historic district, which runs between Hickory Lane and Mitchell Avenue, and contains structures that span from 1892 to 1940. Along with the tight-knit community, a home in Linville would place your child in the Avery County School District. If you're looking to escape from the hustle-and-bustle of city life to raise your family or settle down after retirement, Linville could be the place for you!
