Legend says...

The natural waters of the hot springs are believed to have healing properties. For centuries, people have been traveling to Hot Springs to soak in the pools. As the water rises upwards through the earth, it collects minerals that are good for your health and wellbeing. According to the Hot Springs website, the town’s hot springs were first discovered by Native Americans who believed the springs possessed healing powers. Signs of Native American presence here date back nearly 5,000 years, and their petroglyphs can be seen on Paint Rock, a 107-foot rock cliff which researchers believe Native Americans used as a stopping point for prayer and contemplation on their way to the springs.

Today, The Hot Springs Resort & Spa and Broadwing Farms both offer access to the springs. The Resort & Spa offers hot tubs filled with mineral water, as well as accommodations and spa activities such as massages. Broadwing Farms is privately owned and has hot tubs inside of its three cabins, which can be rented for a romantic getaway.
